I have one week of this English 101 down. So far I have RE-learned what nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, and prepositions are. It's amazing how many brain cells you can loose in the course of time. When the teacher first asked, "What is a noun"? My face had nothing but a blank stare. I felt like such a DA. After class I started opening filing cabinets that had not been opened for more than a decade. I hate to power dust before the drawers would even budge. I finally found a good source to recollect my memories. YOUTUBE.COM. :) I spent about an hour watching School House Rock. Those little songs are so helpful, but so exhausting to get out of your mind. I was singing (in my head, of course) lollly lolly lolly get your adverbs here most of the day long. LOL.
Something else funny I learned while I was at school... My new friend who I just met has a 42 year old year old girlfriend. She comes to school with him and waits for him to finish. LOL. How crazy is that? He says that she is not his girlfriend, yet he lives with and comes to school with him. How does that make any sense? I told him he didn't have to lie to me. It's not like I want him or anything. There's one more thing. This girl is his brothers EX. My mind is boggled.
Off the subject of school, I have been sick for the past 2 days. I hope I'm not coming down with the FLU, so many people have it. I had to leave work early on Thursday and didn't go at all on Friday. Thank God for sick days. I intend on using all of mine. Can't let them go to waste (even if i'm not sick, I can always be sick of work, right?!?)
I hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful weather. It won't be long before it's FREEZING. I predict a very harsh winter. I can feel it in my bones. Yes I know I sound like a golden ager. I can't help it!
yep, gorgeous weekend and sucky Monday. Just figures, huh? I hope you're better!! Aww I dread school. I have even less brain cells now thanks to my boy, what on earth will I do? You can take these classes for me?!?! lol
