Christmas Trees

So, I have a little fetish for trees. I love the way the branches wave at you in the wind. I love how the sun shines through the branches with a radiant smile from up above. Heck, I'm in love with nature and all it's wonder.

During Christmas I spent some time with my tree friends. :)

Smile for the Amateur

I was so excited to get my first "real camera". I got it in the mail about 2 weeks ago. I haven't had any time to test it out until last weekend. I don't really know what I'm doing with the camera yet, seeing as how I don't understand apertures and f-stops and all that photo world lingo. I am hoping to learn though! Here are a few of my first attempts. I did have a beautiful model after all. I always like to say then sun will smile for you when no one else will!

After Thanksgiving Sail

It's the day after Thanksgiving, Black Friday. I should be out shopping and blowing all my hard earned money, but I'm not. I'm sitting here thinking about all the things that have happened in 2010, waiting on 2011 to begin. It has been over a year since I have "tried to blog". I knew when I started this I would not be consistent with it. I don't have much to blog about in my life, or maybe I can't put all my thoughts and actions into blog form. Yes, that's it, or at least it sounds better that way! :) Maybe I should make my New Year's resolution be getting a bloggable life. Ha.

It's funny how over time, your family members begin to drift away. The only times I really get to see all my family at once is Thanksgiving and Christmas, it saddens me. While my uncle was saying the blessing before we ate he started to tear up, talking about how we had so much to be thankful for, a great family. He started speaking of how we never got together and visited each other, which is true. With the hustle and bustle of every one's lives it's so hard to get together like we used too. Is it just me, or does time fly by so much faster the older we get? Or is it that when we are small time just seems to drag because we are so small? OR the bigger we get the smaller time gets? Which-ever way, I don't like my clock as it ages. I wish time could just pause and I could go back in time and re-live the best times of my life, but that ain't happening (Ain't is a southern word too) in this life anyway. I hope my next life will be full of family and all my friends and there are no clock, not certain times we have to be places. I just wanna run through a field of memories and make more along the way without being set on a timer. I am thankful for the time I have had to spend with my family and all my friends, and even those whom have come and gone from my life. I hope I have many more hours to create fond memories to take with me when I leave. I'm not trying to be morbid in any way, I promise. I just know our hours are counted and we never know when we will take our last breathe. Thus, being the flaws of life. My heart goes out to those who have lost special people this year. I am thankful to have not lost a relative this year, but I mourn for those who have. I can't imagine celebrating a holiday without everyone who is currently tangled in my life presently. That day is coming, so I need to enjoy them now while they are still here. Let's get started :)

All of us Ayersholes (joke) couldn't figure out how to set the timer on my camera, so we had to use the camcorder without a flash. I'm thankful for my little family (yes a few are missing here).

No good, Very bad grammar!

I have one week of this English 101 down. So far I have RE-learned what nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, and prepositions are. It's amazing how many brain cells you can loose in the course of time. When the teacher first asked, "What is a noun"? My face had nothing but a blank stare. I felt like such a DA. After class I started opening filing cabinets that had not been opened for more than a decade. I hate to power dust before the drawers would even budge. I finally found a good source to recollect my memories. YOUTUBE.COM. :) I spent about an hour watching School House Rock. Those little songs are so helpful, but so exhausting to get out of your mind. I was singing  (in my head, of course) lollly lolly lolly get your adverbs here most of the day long. LOL.

Something else funny I learned while I was at school... My new friend who I just met has a 42 year old year old girlfriend. She comes to school with him and waits for him to finish. LOL. How crazy is that? He says that she is not his girlfriend, yet he lives with and comes to school with him. How does that make any sense? I told him he didn't have to lie to me. It's not like I want him or anything. There's one more thing. This girl is his brothers EX. My mind is boggled.

Off the subject of school, I have been sick for the past 2 days. I hope I'm not coming down with the FLU, so many people have it. I had to leave work early on Thursday and didn't go at all on Friday. Thank God for sick days. I intend on using all of mine. Can't let them go to waste (even if i'm not sick, I can always be sick of work, right?!?)

I hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful weather. It won't be long before it's FREEZING. I predict a very harsh winter. I can feel it in my bones. Yes I know I sound like a golden ager. I can't help it!

Easily Excited

I am so excited because Grey's Anatomy is back! One of my most favorite shows of the season. I have look forward to this all day long. It was my reason for waking up this morning. HA HA. I am almost serious. I can't wait for what this season has in store. Will Meredith get married? Will George and Izzy live? Will Callie remain a lesbian? There are so many unanswered questions. LOL. I am sad however that Betty is not coming on tonight. I did hear from a very loyal fan today that she will be coming on Friday nights. I love that show even more than Grey's Anatomy. I know if you are reading this you either think I watch too much TV or I am a huge dork. Truth is I'm probably a little of both :)

On a different note, Thanks Meg for my introduction! That was a very generous gesture, BUT now I have a lot to live up to in blog world. Hope I can do it. :) Lord knows I will never be as good as you. But hey it doesn't hurt to try though right?

I am so looking forward to tomorrow. Friday, my most favorite day of the week besides the weekend. I have a lot to do this weekend! Friday I have to go shopping for a birthday present for my other mother. Her birthday was yesterday, but you know me. I'm late with everything. Better late than never right? Saturday I have other mothers birthday party (should be lots of fun). Have to clean my car, inside and out. That will be a job all by itself, seeing as how I haven't done it in quite a while. Any volunteers? :) Didn't think so. Saturday night will is the after party. You know what that means! Drinks are one the house. ;)

I hope everyone has a beautiful weekend!

Walkin' on Sunshine

So today turned out to be a beautiful day afterall. I could tell peoples spirits were lifted today! So thanks for coming out today Sun, even though I didn't get to play.

Today at work we only had one person call and say their house had flooded. And guess what? They had no Flood Insurance. I hate that for them! I have been hearing stories on the news where lots of people in Atlanta had flooded homes and no insurance. Before today I didn't think anyone needed flood insurance. Now I have a new opinion. IF YOU DON'T HAVE FLOOD INSURANCE, COME SEE ME @ NATIONWIDE! I can get ya some. :)

On a different note.... Just one more week and school starts back. I am kinda excited because I just found out this one person is going to be in my class. AND... we are going to ride to school together. Maybe we can study together too. HA I'm so kiding. Not even thinking like that. I'm just happy I know someone who is in my class. I am only taking one class this semester. English 1010. Used to be English 101. I don't know why they had to go and change things. When I signed up for this class I went ahead a purchased my book .. And go figure a week later they change that too. Good thing I only paid $4.00 for the book I guess. Amazon.com is the place for books. I'm telling you.

Hopefully tomorrow will be a good day. Planning to visit a few people tomorrow after work, Oh how I love Wednesdays. Only 4 hours of work tomorrow, so Happy Hump day to me.

Rollin, Rollin, Rollin on a River

Today was another wet one. On a good note, I got a free carwash! Maybe the rain inspired some folks to go out and buy a boat! I heard lot of people talking about boating today on facebook. Our poor pond I'm sure has progressed into a lake by now.

Today was Monday, I say was because it's pratically gone. I knew today wasn't going to be a typical Monday because our mailman always sings throughout the week. "Monday, Monday"... You know the song right? He practically has that song for everday of the week. I love when he sings. He can't hit a lick but I love that he tries anyway. It just puts me in a good mood. Hopefully tomorrow the sun will shine and everyone can be in a better mood. It's weird how the weather can affect our moods. Heck if your a woman ANYTHING can affect your mood. :) So SUN, If you're listening, Please come out to play tomorrow! I miss you.

Day 2 and I have another entry. I'm on a roll too! ;) Let's see how long I can hang in blog world.
